Shhhh! It’s Tales for Tots

May 27, 2014momstownToddlersNo comments
This month’s Tales for Tots was sponsored by Scholastic and we read a very cute book called Shhh! My Brother’s Napping by Ruth Ohi. (http://www.scholastic.ca/books/view/shh-my-brothers-napping)
This story is about two super cute little mice and one brother has to be very quiet since his little brother is napping and no one wants to wake a sleeping baby. The mouse has to find ways to entertain himself while being quiet which turns out to be quite difficult when all he wants to do is bang pots, build towers, paint his brother and more.

We decided to keep ourselves busy today by doing all of the things that the mouse did in the book. We used some blocks and made towers. We did some arts and crafts. We made paper plate rainbows since this month's theme is colours. We did some puzzles.

We had lots of fun reading this great book and doing what the mouse did. We finished off the event with doing something not so quiet – we sang with our instruments.
