He tries a variety of different pets like a cat, a dog, a worm and more until he finds his perfect pet.
This month for Tales for Tots we read a great book called A Pet for Fly Guy. The event was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and the book is by Tedd Arnold the creator of all of the Fly Guy Books. In this first ever Fly Guy picture book Fly Guy is looking for a perfect pet for himself.

This story was perfect for our theme this month – PETS!
After we read the very funny story and looked at the bright, fun pictures we played with our very own pet Fly Guy finger puppets.
For craft we made some finger print Fly Guys by dipping our fingers into black paint and then putting our fingers all over the paper. We made some wings for our Fly Guy.
We even made a litlte baby footprint Fly Guy!
We finished the event with talking about our own pets and singing the song – There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly!
I love pets but I am stil not sure too how much I would like to have a pet fly – I am pretty sure there are already one or two living in my house!
