For our Contes pour les bouts d’choux this month it was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and we read a book about two little friends who met a new friend. The book was called Rikki, Rouquin et Rocco by Ruth Ohi. We have read Ruth’s books in the past and have loved them, this one was very cute as well. It had fun, bright pictures for the kids to follow and a great lesson about friendship.

This month our Tales for Tots was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and we read a perfect book for Halloween time, we read Monster Chef by Nick Bland.

Nick Bland is quickly becoming one of our favourite writers, we have read some of his other books at past events like The Brave Bear, King Pig and the Very Cranky Bear.

We love his stories because they tend to have lots of fun rhymes, the pictures are always fun and colourful and there always seems to be a twist and an important lesson to learn.

This month for Tales for Tots we read a great book called A Pet for Fly Guy. The event was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and the book is by Tedd Arnold the creator of all of the Fly Guy Books. In this first ever Fly Guy picture book Fly Guy is looking for a perfect pet for himself.
