This month for our French Book club it was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and we read a very fun book Journee Pyjama. It is written by the ever popular Robert Munsch and illustrated By Michael Martchenko. Everyone loved reading this book. Like other Robert Munsch books it had some wonderfull characters in it and a funny story line with a bit of a twist at the end.

The book was all about Andre who was a having a pyjama day at school, his pyjamas were old and too small so he needed to buy some new ones. His father took him to the store and he tried a few stores until he found the “perfect pyjamas”.

There pyjamas were almost a little too perfect because when Andre put them on, he fell asleep right in class and no one could wake him up.

This month our French book club was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and we read a very festive, fun book. Even in French you could hear the music hopping off of the pages. We read Vive Le Vent D’hiver by Helaine Becker, it was a classic Christmas song we all know but with a very Canadian twist.

We loved looking at the beautiful drawings of porcupine and his friends as they rode through the snow.

Everyone loved when the presents started to fall from Santa’s sleigh and everyone was trading presents.
