Moms helping other moms in need!
Brand new this year to momstown Guelph is our moms helping moms program. This program is about making sure that we all continue to support and benefit from this network we are creating.
The idea behind moms helping moms is just that. If you know of a mom who is having a baby, going through something personal or even that has had a death in the family let us know so we can help. (E-mail us at info.guelph@momstown.ca with the header moms helping moms)
Helping can involve donations of time, meals or be monetary. Anyone can put their name in for needing help or you can nominate a mom in the group you think can benefit. Once the need is presented it will be brought to the group on the message board so that volunteers can be found. You volunteer as it works for you, there is no pressure to volunteer.
I will also be starting a community fund for this program. If you wish to donate to the community fund just let me know. This fund will be used in cases where volunteers are not available or needed. It could be used to purchase some prepared meals for a mom that just had a baby or even an hour of cleaning for the mom in need.
The program will continue to develop as we get it started so suggestions and volunteers are welcome at any time. If you wish to help organize this please let me know.
