Junior Chef

Once the marshmallows were melted, the shredded wheat was mixed in. Wax paper was used to mold our mixture into nests. Jelly beans were placed in the nests to look like eggs.

This month our momstown mama’s and junior chefs made birds nests.  The fun part was getting to eat our birds nests.  We had a lot of chefs, some even sporting chef hats and aprons.  Everyone had an important job to do, teamwork and cooperation was key.

Ingredients:

1 bag of marshmallows
1 box of shredded wheat
2 tbsp margarine
package of candied eggs (we used jelly beans)

One group was in charge of melting the marshmallows, the next shredded our shredded wheat, one group made nests and the last group put the eggs in the nest.

We are going to enjoy this yummy treat.
