We all have strengths that make up who we are as an individual. In fact, using the Gallup Strength Finder Test we all have a Top 5 out of the 34 strengths they look at. Sometimes we might not see our strengths as a positive thing. This Spring at our momstown Conference we each tested to find out what our five top strengths are and why they are something to be proud of.
It is a very interesting exercise to take a room of 25 women and list out their strengths to see where the common theme is. It also forces you to take a detailed look at who you are as an individual and how you fit into this group.
I learned that my top strengths are;
1. Significance
2. Relator
3. Communication
4. Discipline
5. Self-Assurance
As I read more about my top five strengths I learned that someone with my strengths would do well in a job that can choose their own tasks and actions. As an entrepreneur I get to do that. I also learned that I should find a workplace that encourages friendships. That is definately the definition of being the momstown mama. Finally it said that I would do well in Sales, Marketing and Media. Now I know I have found the perfect fit for me.
I am lucky to have a business that complements my strengths so well. I am lucky to have a company behind me helping to develop my stengths and me as a woman in business. Finally I am lucky to support other woman in what they want to do.
We have lots of exciting news coming your way. Our conference was held at the lovely Fern Resort in Orillia. We were treated to wonderful service. Our Book Club beverage sponsor was Amarula and we received some other treats from Hot Wheels Canada, Walmart Canada and Now For Mothers. It would be fun to see some of these brands at our local momstown programs soon. Watch for some fun new programs and changes to come!
