This week was our Baby Book Club sponsored by Scholastic Canada. We read Hugs by Guelph’s very own Robert Munsch. We thought it would be great if Robert Munsch were reading to us.
Hugs, is about a little girl, who takes her brother and leaves home. Along the way they come across several animals that give the brother hugs. But, none of the hugs are good enough. They arrive back home and he gets a hug from his mother, the best kind of hug ever!!
One lucky baby won the book in our draw, what a great prize for braving the snow storm.
Miss Erica
We wrapped up our baby basics year by reading Frosty the Snowman, sponsored by Scholastic. What a great read in the snowy weather. One lucky baby got to take the book home with them.
In the spirit of the holidays we made mistletoes on canvas. Babies had their feet painted and pressed onto the canvas. Some weren’t so sure about what we were doing to them.
Looking forward to the next year of baby basics.
